One of our former students, now
graduated, and successfully employed in a computer position,
cheerfully disobeying the "no food and drink" rule
in one of the three near state-of-the-art (NOBODY is
state-of-the-art in this business!) labs which are used for
teaching Computing. We thank God
for this program! The first computer major at SWU was approved in
April 2000. The major was developed with significant input from
businesses involved in Computing, and is designed to prepare
students for jobs in such businesses. On August 25, 2004, the name of the major became Applied Computer
Science.
